Small biz mommies

Small Biz Mommies Teressai@hotmail.com

This article is dedicated to two groups: those seeking an online business and working moms looking to stay home with their kids.

I have always wanted to own my own business, since the age of 16. However, for some reason it has always seemed out of my reach….until the dawn of the Internet. The Internet opened a world of possibilities for me--and my hot pursuit to be independent. It has been a few years, now, since I started. I must say that in the last 10 years, not only has useful information exploded, making the Internet seem as if I’m diving into the Atlantic ocean, but it has opened the door to new frustrations: One being HOME BUSINESS SCAMS and two MARKETING EFFECTIVELY.

As anyone who knows a mom could tell you. I don’t have a lot of time during the day. I have worked since both my children were born. Only recently, have I been able to stay home-- my oldest now 7 and youngest 3. I’m sure there are a lot of mommies who work outside the home and manage both very well; hey, I was one of them. I enjoyed making money as it offered me freedom to buy what I wanted, pay bills, travel, you name it. However, at the same time I was enjoying that luxury, I hated leaving my children with a sitter or in a daycare for 10 hours a day. But somewhere along the way, the mommy in me outranked the career woman and I had a strong desire to stay home—for a change.

And so goes my endeavor to become a Momprenure! In my search of home businesses, there are about five scams or get-rich-quick schemes to every one legitimate opportunity. It’s like swimming in a sea of smelly fish trying to find a diamond—not easy. So in my compassion, to not only the moms who desire to stay home with their children and earn a living, but also the entrepreneur at heart, I will recommend and or disqualify a lot of so-called businesses that I have encountered or experienced online.

I have seen a few marketing sites that are wonderful, inexpensive and true to their claims. Believe me, there aren’t many—not without paying a huge fortune. As with most entrepreneurs or small business owners, the budget is small, so we must make the best use of ever dollar. For months, I have searched and searched through massive amounts of information, and have seen a few sites that I truly believe can be helpful. Be sure to sign up with your email address to receive all my recommendations of marketing sites, home businesses and useful products.
